I know its hard to be productive sometimes, especially when you are stressed and tired of school. It is important to stay productive all throughout the year because it will help you get good grades and stay on track with school!
1. Get a planner!
Planners will help you get organized and be productive. Write down every assignment you need to do in your planner and when you get home you will know exactly what you need to work on, you won't forget anything. TJ Maxx usually has super cute planners!
2. Write a to-do list.
I am a list person and I write to-do lists all the time! Writing to-do lists will help you remember what you need to do that day, but you need to have a goal that you need to be able to check everything off of your list by the end of the day. That way you will stay on track with your homework and even what you need to do around the house and the errands you need to run.
3. Take a break!
I know when you think of being productive you think of doing your homework all day and cleaning, but although those are productive things to do, you still need to be sane after your long day at school, so taking a break is productive too. Make sure you relax after you do your homework because doing you homework before you relax will make you feel so much better about what you did today. And when you relax you can actually relax and not worry about getting more stuff done. I love feeling like I was really productive after a long day, it makes me feel like I have life down!
4. Listen to music.
Listening to music always helps me be more productive. It makes me feel like I can accomplish anything. Make a music playlist for when you are doing homework and one for when you need to do chores and this will help you a lot! Music is a powerful thing and I love it! If you are the type of person that can't have music on when you are doing your homework that is ok because I can be like that too when I am doing homework that requires me to read. But for all of the other classes like math for example, I love having music on while I work.
5. Put your phone away!
When you have you phone out you will get distracted even when you promise yourself you won't. Put your phone in a another room and charge it, that way it will charge while you are getting work done!
6. Have a snack.
I know when I am snacking while studying or doing homework it helps me know that I'm not in school anymore and honestly I feel like it helps me concentrate. When I say snack I mean fruit or something that is healthy and isn't messy. I have heard that when you eat grapes or chocolate while studying it helps stimulate the brain, so maybe try that out and maybe it will help!
7. Set goals and work to achieve them.
Setting goals is one thing but working hard to achieve them takes it to the next level. Set goals that you can work on throughout the year and goals that make you motivated. Break down your goals to little things that will help you reach them and then set a deadline.
8. Get comfy!
You aren't at school anymore so you can be comfortable. Use blankets and pillows sit where you want, just make sure you are comfortable so that you can concentrate.
9. Get ready for the next day.
Pick out an outfit for tomorrow and get everything set up and ready to go. That way you don't have to worry and stress the next morning. Maybe even pick out outfits for the rest of the week!
10. Make time for what you love!
Don't get too caught up on school that you forget about what you love to do. Make time for that stuff because you need to enjoy life too, haha.
